Overview

An RSS Feed lets Arvow pull the latest items from any website's RSS feed and turn them into articles for your website. You paste the feed link and it generates new articles on your schedule.

⚠️ The RSS Feed only works with a Recurring Automation and a News Article template. You'll set it up as part of creating a recurring automation.

Setting Up an RSS Feed

  1. Go to the AutoBlog tab.

  2. Click Add New Article.

  3. Select the Recurring option.

  4. Set a Start Date and your Schedule (days of the week and time).

  5. Click Continue.

  6. Choose a News Article template (e.g., the default News Article) and click Continue.

  7. Under Source Type, select RSS Feed.

  8. Paste your RSS Feed URL.

  9. After a few seconds, a set of fields will appear that need to be mapped. Match each one to the corresponding field from your RSS feed:

    • Title → select title

    • URL → select link

    • Thumbnail (optional) → select media content (or the equivalent image field in your feed)

  10. Choose your publishing mode:

    • Generate only: articles are created but not published.

    • Generate and publish: articles are created and published to the website connected to your AutoBlog.

  11. Click Start Repeating.

👍 Your automation is now created. On each scheduled day, Arvow will generate (and publish, if selected) an article based on items from your RSS feed.

📘 Field names vary between RSS feeds. If you don't see media content for the thumbnail, look for another field that contains an image — or leave it empty, since it's optional.

Editing Your RSS Feed

You can change your feed at any time after the automation is running:

  1. Click on any article in your calendar (it doesn't matter which one).

  2. Go to the Content tab.

  3. Edit your RSS feed URL.

FAQs

Q: Can I use an RSS Feed with a one-off article? No. Feeds are only available for recurring automations.

Q: Which templates work with the RSS Feed? Only News Article templates.

Q: Where do I find a website's RSS feed URL? Many websites link to it in their footer, or you can try adding /feed or /rss to the end of the website address. Some sites also show an orange RSS icon that links to the feed.

Q: What does "mapping fields" mean? It's telling Arvow which parts of the RSS feed to use for the article title, the source link, and the image. Most feeds use the standard names shown above, so it's usually a quick match.

Q: The fields don't appear after pasting my URL. What should I do? Wait a few seconds — Arvow needs to read the feed first. If nothing appears, double-check that the link is a valid RSS feed and not a normal web page.

Q: Can I review the articles before they go live? Yes. Choose Generate only and publish them yourself when you're ready.
